Physiotherapy is a wide ranging skill set aimed at improving the Physical function of individuals experiencing limitation of any sort. It is a Clinical Health Science that seeks to assess, diagnose and treat a multitude of physical impairment issues that may or may not involve the presence of pain. Individuals who are Chartered Physiotherapists will always have undertaken a fully accredited University course of 2 (Masters level) to 4 (Degree level) years duration with both requiring 1000 supervised clinical hours of experience prior to qualification. Chartered Physiotherapists are duty bound to maintain and improve their skill set by committing to Continual Professional Development on a yearly basis through a variety of educational means.
Chartered Physiotherapists are required to be members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists to work in Private Practice.
